Blueberry Cheesecake

Yesterday afternoon we picked more blueberries.  Peter has been dropping hints that a Blueberry Cheesecake would be nice.  That a Blueberry Cheesecake can only really be made here, with fresh picked Blueberries.  While I was writing yesterday I lost track of him and after scanning the property in different directions, found him knee deep in Blueberries.  He uses the one bowl technique and had just about filled his bowl up!  Feeling guilty, I joined in and picked with him until I had about half a bowl then we headed inside.  He cleaned the berries.   I made the cheesecake.  This is how it turned out:

Peter is always right about things.  Sometimes it's maddening to live with someone so brilliant.  But most of the time I just feel plain lucky.

This morning Jordan Bay is a series of patchy sparkly currents for as far as the eye can see.  The tide must be coming in.  It's definitely, moving.   Our plan for today is simple:  practice Yoga then do some yard work.  The NuToYou shop opens at 2 pm so that still leaves time for a little afternoon excursion.

  2. That is the best looking cheesecake. How can you two keep your youthful figures with creations like these? My metabolism does not allow for such indulgences. Do you share it with your friends in N.S.?

    1. Hate to admit that Peter does not easily share his cheesecake. It's mostly for him, but I have a little bit, too! Realize I make it once or twice a year. It's made with cream cheese and skimmed milk. Not as bad as it looks!
