Friday morning we woke to overcast skies, but no fog and no rain.  It's a good day to work out in the yard.  No sooner had I started up the mower when a big black truck rolled up the drive.  Rudy had come to visit!  He arrived with a tub of hand picked blueberries and a basket of fresh green and yellow beans from his garden.  We hung out on the front lawn and caught up with him.  Things are going pretty well.  Obviously, his garden was producing by the look of the lovely beans.  Like us, Rudy has wild blueberries on his property.   He is also growing cucumbers and plans to make some dill pickles.

Peter and Rudy, Friday morning
After a nice visit, Rudy took off and we went back to work.  There was a cool breeze blowing off the Bay, but even so after several hours we finally called it quits.  The rest of the day will be dedicated to relaxation.  Maybe later I will pick more berries to add to Rudy's tub and make more jam. Right now, it's just nice to sit here, a cold glass of water in hand with both feet up on the ottoman.
